Missouri State to play Wisconsin

Barry Hinson wasn't able to agree with Gary Williams and Maryland to play them, but the Missouri State Bears will play another top team this season. They will play Wisconsin in the 1st round of the South Padre Island Invitational tournament on November 24. They will play another top opponent, either Auburn or Oklahoma State, the next day, depending on the outcome of their first game.

Maryland offered to play the Bears in a one-game neutral court deal in Washington, D.C., which Hinson laughed was "hardly neutral."

"We never heard back from them," Hinson said of the offer to play home-and-home or at a genuine neutral court.

Wisconsin is on a 5 game tour of Europe playing Italian college and club teams. They are 2-0 so far--

I notice that Hinson bemoans that the MVC success has made it harder to get teams to play Valley teams on their home court. They had to settle for a Division 2 school on their schedule. But it is nice to see them get a shot at Wisconsin and Auburn or OK State.

Yup.
Bradley plays SIU-Edwardsville at Carver on November 15. SIU-E will be one of the top ranked Div II teams in the country this year.
