Illinois commit, big man Meyers Leonard said this......about his chances of getting playing time
among the Illinois frontcourt players.....
"Meyers Leonard said his in-home visit was at Robinson High School.
Leonard said Weber discussed what the 7-foot center must do to put himself
in position to contribute as a freshman in 2010-11.
Leonard said Weber told him he will have the opportunity to contribute as a freshman.
"I'd been wondering about that, how much they thought I could play,"
Leonard said. "He called me a while back and we talked about it. He
said, 'There's only Mike Davis and Mike Tisdale ahead of me. What if
something happened to them? We'll need someone.'"
But Bill Cole is still just a junior, and will be a senior during Leonard's freshman season.....
doesn't Weber see any playing time at all for Cole? Likewise, Richard Semrau and Stan Simpson will both still be at Illinois...or is Weber hinting that they might not?
Even Tyler Griffey might have something to say about this...
a comment from U of I AD Kent Brown....."Tyler is proving better than he thought, and that he could help this year."
