  • Sports Illustrated Ranks the Top 10 Toughest Non-conference Schedules

UNC is #1, Michigan State is #2, Illinois is #10,
and they do have a shame list....including both Pitt and Syracuse who BOTH have exactly ZERO true non-conference road games!!
Pitt does have a semi-neutral game vs. Wichita State in Kansas City, KS.

    then this amazing admission....
"Major-conference teams hold all the clout in scheduling, and few are willing
to play in mid-major or low-major schools' home gyms."

Who wants to be the first one to make a mountain out of a molehill and criticize SI for saying UI will likely face OSU in Vegas instead of Bradley?

Ah screw it, I'll do it

you can't blame them too much for saying that, because they probably don't even know who Oklahoma State is playing to get to that round...
but it is indeed just another dis on a mid-major........

The problem with all these previews is that with 350 D-1 teams, you can't give them all proper due. There's just not enough time in the day to do enough research on them, let alone write about them. Which is why I don't worry too much about it.
