CBS Sportsline has an article about a negative recruiting tactic used by Baylor coach Scott Drew to recruit a high school player. The story sounds a little lame, and I am sure most coaches do a lot worse things when recruiting. But this one left a paper trail.--

FWIW I actually had a talk with ex-BU coach Jim Molinari in which
he detailed some of the tactics he had run into.
He has a really funny perspective on it, and argued that it is universal.
He learned of opposing coach's tactics, since some recruits are actually open and honest and tell you exactly what the other coaches say, and sometimes it's the moms or other family members, and occasionally you just intercept some of it in writing like this case.
