I was gonna say...the reason Hawk wasn't on the list is because then Sam Maniscalco wouldn't be at the top of it.

That has been the general trend of all Tornado questions for a few months now....SM at the top.


Hopefully SM keeps these trends up.

I see what you are saying, but I can see where someone may feel that SM's contributions have been a little under appreciated by others.

Definitely....I'd be very upset if SM is off the bench for EM.

It sounds like the start of a good bench. SM doesn't seem like the type that would be affected if he is coming into the game 4 minutes after the tip. He's going to get his minutes whether he is introduced & slapping the kid's hands around the court or not.

I think SM will be a solid contributor, but I dont think he's as good a point guard as EM. He's more a combo guard, which is where his size hurts him. However, with more inside presence, and a (hopefully) fully-healed AW, his short stature won't hurt him as much as it did last year.

I see someone else has caught on... Tornado must be a relative of Sam's or something? He's a good player... I admit it, but if he was as good as Tornado seems to think he is he would have been in the NBA draft last spring, or we would be the FAVORITE to win the league this year hands down.

Roger Phegley (dead-eye - how many 3's would this guy get?)
Anthony Parker (smart and cool under pressure)
Voise Winters (score baby, score)
Deon Jackson (unstoppable down low "kaboom")
Phillip Gilbert (raining 3's and quickness)
Daniel Ruffin (super quickness with a decent shot)
Jeremy Crouch (another dead-eye shooter and unreal court feel)
Andrew Warren (good shooter and can find his shot)
Sam Maniscalco (no fear and decent shooter)

Again, Sam is a good player, but he is not in the same league as most of the others. Let's see if Sam progresses or has reached his peak.

Sam is in the top 10 of all BU sophomores in points scored (#9)
with the likes of Anthony Parker, Phillip Gilbert, Roger Phegley, Voise Winters, David Thirdkill, Al Smith, Daniel Ruffin, Jeremy Crouch -- all behind him..

And Sam's 2-year scoring total at BU of 746 is ahead of Phegley, Winters, and all but a dozen of Bradley's 1000-point club members.
He has already played in 74 games and has played in 42 BU wins....
He's on track with a lot of his numbers to be one of the best players in BU's history in numerous categories...

You've left so many great players off your list George I don't know where to start....... Les, Hawkins, Williams, Mason, Allen, Walker, Anderson, Thirdkill, Reese.......

I agree with tornado in that Sam Maniscalco will probably go down as one of BU's all-time greats. We don't need to rank whether he's better than any of Bradley's other great guards. And don't put the kid down by sarcastically referencing the NBA lottery. How many players in BU's history have even been drafted in the top-10. Not many.

The fact is that Sam is another good guard in a long line of good BU guards. Will he play in the NBA? probably not. Not many BU players have. But he's still a great Brave and a leader of our current team. I think we'll all look back in 5-10 years and realize just how good of a player SM really was when compared to all of the other players who have gone through Bradley.

I like SM as our pg because he's not much worse than EM and is leaps and bounds better at shooting than EM. He has heart and he can play well at DI for BU....I don't see him ever playing in the NBA...as a matter of fact that thought has never even crossed my mind.

I happen to appreciate the little bits of trivia that Tornado posts.

Even without Hawkins, Les, and others that is a pretty good list...and knowing that Sam tops even THAT list is pretty cool and should give us all a boost of confidence.

Why all the nit pick...it was a trivia question.

Its like saying:
