Nothing shocks me anymore with recruiting.

I prefer to not get too excited about anyone until I see them ON THE COURT wearing Bradley Red and/or White.

        Best of luck to Ricardo.

"Ricardo Johnson, of Covington (Ohio) Holmes, ended his recruitment
            Thursday evening.
The 6-foot-4 wing gave John Groce and his staff a verbal commitment shortly
after an in-home visit, according to sources close to the situation."

              Nooooooo!!

Well I was really hoping to get him. You never know why a recruit chooses a certain school. I would guess it is closer to home for him. I didn't look it up though. They have some good young guards which means they could be a decent team. On the other hand it means more of a battle to play. I think as far as the conference and fan support we blow them away. This is one that confuses me as much as the David brown to Western Michigan did. Maybe he really liked one of the coaches. I would like to think he made a spur of the moment decision and could still change it but that seems unlikely. These recruits we lose to teams I consider a step down from our program hurt worse than losing players to GA. Tech (Shumpert), I can see if you want to play at a higher level. I guess it's time to wish him good luck at Ohio.

Edit: Before someone brings it up I guess a specific academic program could be another reason to choose a specific school.

Good luck to him at Ohio; guess he would rather play in front of a lot less people as we have so many more fans that attend our games then Ohio, recruiting players has so many twists and turns that you just never know what may happen next until they actually committ and sign their letters of intent. The good thing is that there is a player out there that wants to play for BU and I expect him to be as good as any of the ones that go elsewhere, we only have room for 2 next season as John Wilkins is our 1st for 2010.
