allegations of staring, threatening gestures....those are far from facts...
actually not many facts were presented at all...just that the police were told there was an altercation near Haussler and that TB was arrested.
Beyond that all the rest is yet to be determined factual.

Your argument would have more validity if there were more than one paper in town.

How about there are multiple places that Joe the public can go to get their news! There is plenty of competition even in a one newspaper town like Peoria.

          • Sorry, but it's one of my favorite bands I put this up when everyone was yapping over WE's knee injury last year and it was deleted. Looking forward to a great season from Taylor this year. The band "Talking Heads" -

I agree with that but I don't think one person is going to buy a paper to read this article....

but there are plenty of people who have and will click on their web-site due to this article! You get paid per-click now days just not by what is printed in the papers.

I'm familiar with pay per click advertising but who's paying who when you click on this article?

                    • who cares....the point is that if they know something will get more clicks and if clicks mean advertising money...
is it beyond a stretch to think they pursue what's going to get clicks?

It's as simple as this....if a guy gets money by selling cars, he will do what he needs to do to access more people and sell more cars, right?

I prefer to get my news and info from a site that's totally independent of that kind of conflict...a site that NEVER sells space or "clicks" for $$...a place like.....
                      BradleyFans.com!!

Please don't just quote part of my post to make your point. That is why I said FACTS CAN BE INCORRECT. What some people view are facts are different then others, apparently. It is a FACT that the paper had some source(s) about what happened that night. It was not their opinion. Allegations are facts, until proven right or wrong. They are not opinions...

I don't understand what is so hard to understand about what I have said in 99% of my posts on this thread... NO ONE KNOWS EXCACTLY WHAT HAPPENED ACCEPT TB AND THIS OTHER GUY... It could be absolutely nothing, or it could be something more serious... Tornado- can you at least agree with that? It is possible it is nothing- it is possibly that it is serious!

I just clicked on it and right now it has some Scooter company, Yahoo job, Nieman Marcus in Palo Alto and SF which is directly targeted to me. So what is your point if you know how this works?

The advertisement money goes to the PJS, PERIOD!

My point is I advertise on there as well for so much a month...I don't pay anymore for someone clicking on an article or my ad for that matter.

I imagine it's the same there

                            • I also believe that for the most part this is a non-issue. God only knows that I got caught up in stupid sitauations when I was in college. The only difference is that the police were not involved and I wasn't on the front page of the PJS. whew... I want to hear both sides of this story as I firmly believe that something or somethings provoked TB to react the way he did. It's a leason learned for TB and I hope he and everyone moves on and not turn this into more of a pi%$#@@ match than what it has already become.

Would you advertise there if no one clicked on their site? The fact is that advertisement fees are based on viewership. So if you wanted to advertise your wares on the Washington Post it would be a lot more expensive then the PJS. The more people click on their site the more they can charge.

On another note are you managing the ability to see where your leads are coming from? Is there a splash page on your site to determine the people that go from the PJS to your site? It is a numbers game no matter how you slice it. That is why I am not bashing the PJS for spinning stories, I just do not have to take what they shovel at us as the gospel truth. There are ulterior motives behind most business desisions right or wrong.
