I was at the game and BU soccer is fun...
the cheerleaders do a really great job, and the BU soccer team is entertaining, passes well, and gets scoring opportunities.
On top of that, we enjoyed the free popcorn!
    Go BU!!

Hard to beat the free popcorn. At the basketball games we get a half filled bucket of stale popcorn after we sign a mortgage. I had to give my car keys last year for a beer... Beers for clunkers!

the concessions staff was expecting a far bigger and hungrier crowd...
they made and filled what looked like at least 100 more boxes of popcorn than they were going to sell, so by about mid-way through the 2nd half, the word spread through the crowd that they were giving it away free....it didn't take long before much of the crowd was enjoying it.

I was at the OU/BYU game over the weekend at The New Texas Stadium...

8.50 for a bottle of beer only Miller or Miller lite, no other choices.

          8.50 for nachos

          5.50 for a cotton candy

5.00 for a small bag of peanuts

          36.00 to park

          85.00 for 1 3rd level ticket

          6.00 for a hot dog

          10.50 for oxygen

Be quite happy you had to only give your car keys for a beer in Peoria, in Dallas you might have to give up a limb or your life for a beer.

The place is completely over the top, it is a microcosm of what is both great and horrible about the United States.

OUCH!!!!!! Your last line is beautifully written. It is a "legal" monopoly situation. I saw my first $10 beer last year at the new pavillion on Chicago's lakeshore during the Ringo Starr concert and it was a 12 ounce beer, not a 20 ouncer... I passed.
