  • BU soccer- BU and Memphis in 1-1 draw

BU leads Memphis 1-0 at the half on a goal by Chris Cutshaw at 9:25. The Fox Soccer Channel broadcast has been extremely complimentary of Bradley, and of Chris Cutshaw. Prsident Glasser did an interview with the broadcasters during the first half, and she was tremendous discussing the new developments on the Bradley campus, and promoting the academics at BU.
Both Chris Cutshaw and Grant Campbell just missed wide with shots on open goals. Goalkeeper Drew Van Kampen made a couple nice saves, but Bradley controlled most of the action.

Eastern Illinois and Mercer played to a 0-0 draw in the first game on the night. Bradley will play Mercer on Sunday.

For anybody who wasn't there....the atmosphere was nuts. I have been going to BU soccer games for 4 years and this was by far the most packed and loudest I've ever seen Shea.

On another note....soccer is a game of making or missing chances. And I can't help but feel that Bradley should have been up 3-0 at the half. A couple bad breaks on point blank shots hurt us.

Agreed. And similar to hoops, it's all about making shots.

Anyway - too bad Braves didn't get the W. But they didn't get the L either.
