  • Rashad Austin update

Rashad Austin spent the 2007-2008 season at Bradley, after spending 2 years at Northeastern Junior College in Colorado. He left Bradley before last season, and did not play anywhere this past year. So he has 1 season of NCAA eligibility left.

Rashad has resurfaced at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Midwestern State University is an NCAA Division II school that plays in the Lone Star Conference with other D2 schools from Texas and Oklahoma.

    See 6th paragraph-

His coach at Midwestern State is Grant McCasland, who was the coach at Midland junior college when they won the NJCAA National Championship in 2006-2007, and Alvin Brooks III was his assistant.

Rashad's team, Midwestern State, made it all the way to the Elite Eight in D-II
then they lost to St. Cloud State. They ended the season 31-3 best in school
history), with Rashad playing his final season of college ball with nagging leg
injuries, still contributing 7.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, a team leading 44 blocks, & 54% shooting..
