Love the makeup/flexibility of this years team-if AW/WE get healthy and play to abilities/frosh are who we think-go ahead dream big!about 20 hours ago from web

Why? I came to Bradley to play..Why? I love coaching here...Talking HOOPS in August!!! Kudos BU fans..this place is 'special"!10:55 AM Oct 25th, 2008 from web

The last one is his latest tweet - not sure why it has the 10/25 time stamp. Just wanted to point out that it appears JL is drinking the Kool-aid and seems pretty positive about this years team. Any thoughts?

He's right to '"dream big", but there are some big IF's. AW and WE healthy for the whole season and if "the frosh are who we think they are."
The last guy to say that was Dennis Green after his ARIZ CARDS got anihilated by Da'Bears.

Well, considering their success on the Brazil trip, I think it's pretty valid for him to be enthusiastic. We should note that he's also banking on AW and WE being who we think they can be in order for us to be really special this year.

I personally feel even if Warren and/or Egolf do not come back healthy this team will still be very good and even special. But when both come back healthy and are at 100% this team without a doubt will be special and extremely good.

        A rotation of

        Roberts
        Brown
        Prosser
        Sm
        EM
        DD
        SS
        AT

That rotation just as it is, is enough to win much more then it would lose.

This team is loaded with players that are capable of scoring 20 points or more on any given night.
          Roberts
          Maniscalco
          Brown
          Dunson
          Warren
We also have the chance to be one of the best rebounding teams we have had in a long time..
          Brown
          Roberts
          McCain
          Egolf
          Thompson
          Prosser
          Singh
I can see why Jim is upbeat about this team as it is comprized of the best overall basketball skilled players I believe he has ever had since coming to Bradley.

I love the optimism, as I, too, keep feeling beter and better about this team. There does appear to be an overall skillset/weapon depth that we have missed the last 3 years.

..but the s16 team started 5 future pros, and had another 5 on the bench and with a typical lineup of Ruff, Tony, Boogie, Cellus and POB had 5 above average rebounders, 4+(I do not think ruff was scoring that much then) 20 ppg threats, and 4 3-point threats all at the same time. I do think we should be closer than the past 3 years to a more ideal balance this year, and that is still a good thing!

Agreed! But also keep in mind that many of our players haven't proven a thing yet at this level. Or, they have to come back and prove that they're fully recovered from injury.

I'm probably one of the biggest optimists on this board but this team has A LOT to prove! I hope they all play with a BIG chip on their shoulder. Go get 'em boys!
