If it helps the team's NCAA profile, as a fan, casual or otherwise: What more do you want?

      Better home games

All kidding aside, from talking to more casual fans of the program, stuff like RPI and SoS don't come up often, and I'm sure that's the case with every other program out there. I'm just worried about losing those fans.

It is pretty tough to please everyone in a schedule though, of course.

        Schedule

SQD---As a season ticket holder and contributor for many, many years, I want to see competitive games against very good teams. While the road schedule is important, what is really important is the home schedule of games we watch which is what people pay for and expect to be good. With a good BU team and a strong schedule, the NCAA ratings will take care of themselves.

          Yes.....it could definitely be worse......

Those are the home schedules (and last year's RPI) that we're aware of right now. The red games are the ones that each team scheduled on their own. Loyola and Niagara are Bracketbuster return games. Wofford and Presbyterian are on the schedule because they came in the deal that also put Oklahoma State and Illinois/Utah on the schedule.

Would I like to have a home game against a "marquee" name.....obviously, but I'm not going to complain about this year's schedule when I see what the fans down the road get.

The thing I'm most frustrated about, today Is that we were told last week that the MVC schedule might be released last Friday and then last Friday we were told it would probably be released this Tuesday or Wednesday but that didn't happen an now it's Friday and nothing. Not that it matters much, we all know the 9 teams we will play twice, but I'm just interested in what the sequence of games will be because last season we played some big games, at home, over the Holidays when most of the students were gone and I hope that doesn't happen again this season.

I could not agree more. I will not be pleased with ISU and SIU over the break again.

Here's a comment I found regarding the holdup of the Valley schedule.....

                        "As of Thursday afternoon...(we still didn't have)...the men??™s basketball
schedule from the Missouri Valley Conference. Once the Valley gets it to the
schools, it generally takes a day or two for the schools to check things out,
                        approve it and release it.

The holdup in St. Louis is ESPN, which is still putting together its college
basketball lineup for this season. Looks like it will be next week at the
                        earliest."

I hope Western Carolina will be a Home and Home series. They won't be a pushover as they return their conference's freshman of the year plus 5 seniors.

If we're doing a home-and-home on the east coast, we're doing it with an A-10 or CAA team, not Western Carolina, I hope.

we called Gary Williams (Maryland) to see if he'd play us or any Valley team, and he said he'd call back, but never did...

btw-- I never did get that call back that Larry Eustachy promised me personally in his email!

also-- I am anxiously awaiting the release of the Southern Miss schedule,
to see if they have their customary 4 regular season NAIA opponents this season.
