According to one post over on the isu board, "Seems like Bradley is banking on Warren and Egolf (both returning from very serious injury) to be starters and arguably their 2 best players."
I didn't see where anything was quoted as to why it "seems" this way, but I've yet to see anyone here make such a statement. Possibly on the less-informed VT site or maybe another school site, but not here. Just wondering if I missed something.???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

sg-- some know the potential Will and AW have but at this point we can only hope they'll be 100%
Frankly, we have had injury problems each of the past several years with Warren, Egolf, Singh, Ruff, Crouch, etc.....surprising we have done as well as we have with so many post-season appearances and wins.

If Chris Roberts or Andrew Warren is part of the three guard lineup, I'm not too worried about rebounding either. If it's a trio of Dunson, Maniscalco & McCain, then I'm worried about the rebounding.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what type of numbers Roberts and Brown can put up. The potential really seems to be there.1996 & 2019

I don't think AW or WE will be in the top-2 this season. We haven't seen that AW can play yet, and the roster is full of guys that could step up in his absence.
I responded to that post on the ISU board... I think it was posted just to get a rise out of us.Don't putt until the cup stops movin'

I was referring to posts like the 1st one in this thread: "Warren will be a Top-3 scorer"
or this one where a couple people feel he will win POY
So......as I said.......there are some prominent posters on here that have Warren pegged for stardom this year. Isn't that another way of saying he's going to be heavily relied upon or no?Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

There certainly are some posters that think that AW will do great things this year. I'm more optimistic now that the boot is gone. I think if he would of played last year, he would have been counted on to score alot for the Braves. However, there seems to be more offensive weapons around him this year and he has shown to be an unselfish player in the past. Just my opinion.
One of the better threads on this board this summer was over Will Egolf. There were opinions all over the place. He'll certainly help the team if he is healthy. In my mind, he makes BU's weak link better if he can play 20 minutes a game.1996 & 2019

Wow, can you imagine the meltdown and mudslinging had this happened in reverse on the RBF?
I was simply disputing the notion that I was trying to "stir things up". There was a question of the validity of my claims that some people on this forum are heavily counting on Warren. All I did was provide proof to my claim. You of all people should appreciate that T. As much as anyone you love to see documented proof of facts. I was merely stating facts.
As far as this going down on rbf? It wouldn't bother me one bit personally and I can't answer for anyone else.Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. I think it would be silly to not count AW as a major threat in the MVC if he's 100%. If AW is 100% I don't think anyone in Bradley nation would deny right now that AW should be relied on heavily and could do great things. I don't think many people think WE will be a top 2 type of player for Bradley but from the snapshots we saw last year most know that there is potential for him to be the best 5 man we've had since POB. I'm not saying he's as good as POB..I'm saying he has the potential to strengthen a spot that has been our Achilles for the past 3 seasons.
AW if 100% yes a top 2 player to be relied upon and probably the best player with MVC POY potential
WE IMO won't be a someone that gets a lot of awards or accolades this year but he'll do things for us that don't show up on the stat sheet like we saw in the few games last year. He had good post moves and he knew how to draw some defenders and dish it back out. He may not be a stat machine this year but if he's feeling alright and confident with the knee he could give us some much needed balance. Not a top 2 player however.
If Brazil is any indication I would say the players to most look out for are TB and CR. SM will about the same as last year, very good and dependable but not phenomenal.
I think I touched on our 5 likely starters if all healthy.

AW is doing well, on track to be fully healed by season's start and planning to be 100% and be a force in the Valley.
Of course anything could happen, so feel free to worry about the sky falling or lightning striking...but I have no worries....especially when I see the confident smirk on the faces of the people who have seen AW working out already.
