the projected best Valley team gets Wyoming, who is slated to be a bottom feeder in the MWC.

BYU over Bradley - As a realist, that is a nasty place to play
Indiana St over Colorado St - The toilet bowl of the challenge
UNLV over Southern Illinois - Had to think about this one
Missouri St over Air Force
Wichita St over TCU
New Mexico over Creighton - But I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong. Early season + The Pit = tough, tough game. And will CU have anything left after the UM/Xavier/Marq stretch?
Utah over Illinois St - Ok, twist my arm, I like picking against ISU
Drake over San Diego St - Another really close one, since I gave the MWC the other swing games, I'll give this to Drake
Northern Iowa over Wyoming - Wyoming is better than tornado think but UNI should win

For whatever reason, it seems like the MVC has a few more opportunities this year to get that 'street cred' than it has the past few years. It's interesting how cyclical these things are. A couple of one-bid years and all of the sudden teams will play us again. Little do they know that the MVC is trending upward once again...

That is the ultimate plan....or quite possibly all the same weekend, but it wasn't easy
on the relatively short notice, knowing many teams do not have full control of their playing arena.

It'll be a slightly different route than the MVC took in 2006, but it will be remarkably similar to the CAA that year, which worked out well for them.

In 2006, the Valley did it largely on gaudy records from top to bottom, and even the 10th place team only had 1 or 2 non-con losses. That was on a large diet of home games.

The CAA that year didn't put up the win record that the Valley did universally, but they played a universally tough non-con and stole some victories. While they lay in the shadow of the Valley, those early season challenges put them on an historic course.

Right, and 3 or 4 of the pairings were already set in stone with dates/facilities in place, so to make it easier this year they just incorporated those into this year's event.

Refresh my memory if you will... with the road teams get a return game next year, as well as a new challenge game at home in the same year? Or are their no return games?

It's not like the Buster where you get the return game from the team you play in year 1, but no team will have to go on the road two years in a row.

So as long as BU doesn't finish 10th this year, we get a MWC team at home next year.
