The Jays get a great game right off the bat!

Wow... glad to see Creighton do this!!!!

If the Jays can knock off a Big Ten team, and if BU can do it too in LV, I think
I'll buy some ad space on a few Big Ten message boards for BradleyFans...

        Michigan followed by Xavier/Marquette.

Even a split might be enough in those two. Resume building blocks.

Now that is a schedule to write home about! Good for them and I hope they come out firing!

Michigan should be quite good this year. They return almost every relevent player and are coming off their first NCAA tourney win in over a decade. Sims and Harris will contend for Big 11 player of the year and Novak and Douglass provide a potent outside threat.

I was in Crisler Arena the day Michigan knocked off #2 Duke last December (day before the BU vs MSU game) and can say that if Mich progresses the way it should, they will contend for the Big 11 title this year.

Would be a terrific upset and a great start to the Valley's non-con schedule if Creighton can pull it off!

I was gonna post the same thing PTown... Michigan will not be flying under the radar this year... Dickie V has them at #11 in his early early pre-season rankings... Andy Katz (I think) has them at #10 in his. This will be a big opportunity for the Jays but I would be surprised if they pull that one off... Beilein coached teams are usually too good to over-look anyone so I wouldn't expect that. Either way- very nice games for CU!

I would not be surprised to see a CU upset win. Most upsets of talented teams occur early in the year when all of the new young talent is still unharnessed and not playing as a T-E-A-M.

The only reason I disagree is Michigan returns 4 of 5 starters and the only starter they lost was CJ Lee who was a part time starter...

They also return over 90% of their scoring from last year... They had alot of freshman play last year who gained valuable experience last year...

Not saying its not possible... and i generally agree that early season is the best time to have an upset- just not necessarily in this situation...

You're probably right Nacho. The facts back up your logic.... But I'm hopeful

Creighton wins their first game. Book it.

Creighton may just win their 2nd game too. Valley gettin' a shot! It's tourneys like this one that keep teams from playing us!

                        Exactly.

And it's tourneys like this one that fuels the discussion for separation from Div-1A and Div-1/twoA.

BBrave. Don't be fooled by coach speak. There are quality games out there to be had if people are willing to get out of their predetermined comfort zone. It just has to be right for everyone. The mid-majors turn down just as many games as the majors do.

Everybody is picky. Mid-majors aren't doing their parts either.

let's take a poll...how many people actually believe this?
I think it is ridiculous....the big boys literally can have any opponent they want...the only ones they turn down...are the ones they can't accept because their schedule is already as full as they can get it with all the cupcakes or high revenue games that they can land.

If a mid-major turns down a game - it's for a completely different reason and happens only when a potential opponent is asking way, way too much in concessions and giveaways...

I believe it. Most coaches are chicken.

They may talk a big game, but the fact of the matter is they are all exceptionally paranoid of losing their job, with good reason.

As a result, they don't take more chances than necessary.

Everyone is afraid to play anyone.
