Mark Buerhle pitches a perfect game! White Sox beat the Tampa Bay rays 5-0 to move into a tie for 1st place.
It is his second no-hitter (he pitched one in 2007), and the first perfect game since Randy Johnson's in 2004.
It is only the 2nd perfect game in White Sox history, the other was in 1922!

How about that catch by Dwayne Wise for the first out in the 9th inning!!!

Thanks BU Rick... I switched the tv on here at work in time for the entire 9th inning!

Anyone reading this thread should know that the original title of this thread was changed by someone other than me, we've talked about moderators doing whatever they want. The original title was, "For those not watching or listening"

What a catch! I still can't believe it...still trying to catch my breath. I saw Buehrle's no-no back in 2007, but missed this one due to work. I'm just catching up on the highlights on Comcast Sportsnet.

The best part of this game is that it now puts the Sox in a tie for first in the AL Central for the first time since early May. Great day to be a White Sox fan!

BU Rick- I changed the title. It is done on rare occasions when the original title is vague or misleading.
Your title said- "For anyone not watching"
That does not in any way give viewers of BradleyFans an idea of what the topic is about, and that is not fair to people who don't care about baseball, or Mark Buehrle.

We prefer to have the titles of threads actually say what the thread is about, and this topic is about Mark Buehrle and his no hitter. I am sorry if you don't agree with this policy, but it is our clearly stated policy. Most message board forums do this. It is also done by virtually every editorial board of every newspaper regarding letters submitted by readers. It is clearly stated in the rules of this board that moderators may edit posts or titles in cases like this, to make it easier for people to know what the threads are about.

I'm not even going to begin to respond to that because I'm having a very happy day. Do what you want, it's ok with me, but I had to point it out.

Who cares about the title of this thread being changed!!!!! It also keeps the talk about Buehrle's perfect game on one thread. I am not a White Sox fan, but I was nervous for Buehrle in the ninth inning.

Happy to hear you are a White Sox fan! I have been a Sox fan for over 50 years, and have a pennant on my wall from their 1959 AL Champion team, as well as a lot of stuff from 2005.
Here's hoping this propels them to another championship season.
