Player Outlook: Jordan Prosser

Nice...thanks.........
History has told us that Jim Les simply does NOT start completely untested players. He tends to go with experience, so I think Sam Singh will start at the "5" - but Sam might not be able to do more than 16-18 mpg. (he avg 18.6 mpg last season)
(you have to go all the way back to POB as a freshman to find an inexperienced player starting early in the season)
So Egolf, AT, and Prosser all will be battling for the remaining 20+ minutes.
Personally, I think Sam will avg 15-17 mpg so as to save his knees, Egolf will get 10-15, JP 10-15, and AT will get some time, but - even if nobody wants to think of it - one of the four might sit out some time with injury, too.

I think you are right about Jordan. Thanks again for the work, and for posting it here on Bradleyfans first.
Everyone who saw Jordan play in high school came away impressed at how skilled he was at the basics that a forward needs. He could make a good percentage on jump shots, including threes, but he took very few of them and concentrated on what he does best- interior scoring, rebounding, and defense. I look forward to watching JP, and I think he will get more playing time than anyone expected- 16 minutes/game sounds about right to me.

I agree....after Jordan verballed to BU, we suddenly saw people claiming there were reasons his "stock fell" and that offers dried up for some reason..
but not one person, anywhere, has ever actually said what those reasons were nor have they ever actually cited anything that's changed since earlier
(except that JP has gotten bigger, stronger, better), when Jordan was getting BCS offers and was rated inside the Top 100.
In fact, JP continued to get better, but what we were seeing was the usual stuff when any recruit fails to verbal to a big school or instead chooses a mid-major.
Hey-- anyone remember this??
in his junior year, Prosser was being recruited and offered by Billy Gillispie at Kentucky, and was already sitting on offers from Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and was also about to get an offer from Iowa
and also had one from IU but that was literally the day Sampson was canned............so he never considered IU again...
This article says that both Alford and Lickliter from Iowa offered....as well as SIU, Providence, Baylor, Xavier, and Illinois State.
In fact, JP took both an unofficial and an official visit to Kentucky, saying at that time he had also taken official visits to Indiana, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Xavier.
This link says Prosser was one of Kentucky's high priorities in 07-08....
Stay up to date with all the Kentucky Wildcats sports news, recruiting, transfers, and more at 247Sports.com
and this story also says Texas A&M had offered
so believe what you want...but reports exist of a lot of BCS offers.
Isn't that ironic....that had Jordan taken their offer, and gone to Kentucky, he'd have probably been cut loose when Gillispie was fired, and he'd have been in limbo.
He was better off with Bradley!

I agree with all you had to say except the averages. If he plays 16 mpg I'd hope he averaged more then 3.6 rebounds. Once WE comes back I believe JP's number will have to be made up at the 4. WE should be able to play 20 mpg by conference play and Sam 10 which leaves 10 more."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

That said, I have no doubt he'll be a STUD at BU before his days are done

I saw Jordan play right alongside Zeke Schneider (at the Flash Flanagan event at Markin)...and I thought Jordan was equal in height with Zeke, who has persistently been billed as 6-9
I have also seen him with the other BU players, and I believe him to be legitimately 6-8.

I really dont care if he is 66 or 68 or whatever. Low post players with mobility, the ability to handle the ball both face up and with back to basket and have footwork that doesnt require 3 years to develop are very few and far between in the Valley.
If Prosser has what he is advertised to have along with what appears are a high basketball IQ and a shot well then again his overall height is insignificant.

BTW-- Jordan has a very late birthday in his age group...and may yet still be growing...
I have no way of knowing, but I can say with certainty that both of my oldest sons each grew a full inch after they graduated from HS and after their 18th birthdays.
