  • Max Bielfeldt

since nobody else seems to have a report of how Notre Dame's Max Bielfeldt is doing at the AAU events...
I did some digging and got a report...

Here it is from the LeBron James Skills Academy in Ohio...

"...Peoria Irish won their first game...
in... the 2nd half, Max Bielfeldt was dominant in the paint, and grabbed an offensive rebound on a missed free throw in the final 30 seconds to bring the game all even. Gilchrese was unable to get a shot up at the end of regulation and we were headed to overtime.
    The Irish won in OT.

In OT, Gilchrese hit a floater with 1.4 seconds to play to give the Irish the 2 point lead on a strong drive into the paint, but it wasn't over. Spiece Select ran the 'hook and ladder' to get an open look from just behind the 3 point line that was nothing but net??¦??¦but it was after the buzzer. The Irish advanced.

Their next game was against the Spiece squad ... Irish guard Hayden Hoerdemann was on fire early, totaling 15 first half points and finishing with over 25, but the Irish lost

Max had a fine game last night as Peoria Notre Dame beat Quincy Notre Dame..
Max had 23 pts, 15 rebs, and 8 blocked shots. (one of the stories says 11 rebs)
Here's one of the blocks, this was an easy one...

    Max Bielfeldt:
    23/17
    19/14
    26/16
    11/10
    23/15
    16/17 vs Manual on 12/11 (4-2)
    0/8 at UofI (4-3)

well since the thread for this kid was taken off the recruiting forum.....

does anyone know if this kid has any offers or who is looking at him??? I think I read in the previous thread that he has d1 talent but thats about it.... anyone have an opinion on this kid and if we should be considering him??

I would think we would have a great shot at this kid if we really wanted him..

From what I have heard, he is still expected to grow (he is just starting his junior season), and though many D1 schools have been in contact, they want to see how he grows and develops to see what position he'll play at the college level. Right now he is a little small for a D1 4 or 5 player, but I think that's what he'll develop into. I don't know if or how many D1 offers he has, but I believe he will eventually have many.
