Perhaps Saint Louis' top incoming recruit is a kid from Australia named Cody Ellis.
(the CHN review of SLU at #91 says this about Cody - "could be starting from day one".)
Ellis was a ton in international play this summer, and is good enough and mature enough to step right in and be a big factor as a solid 6-8 post player.
Saint Louis already has Ellis and his fine accomplishments listed on their roster site...
but the bad news is that he has still not been cleared by the NCAA and has still not been able to enroll....
there is no timetable for or if he will be cleared, but after the first 2 weeks of classes, he would be too late to gain entry and be eligible to play this semester.

Oakland seems to do this every year...and generally goes for the high dollar guarantee games at top opponents' arenas..
this year Oakland plays at...
Wisconsin
Kansas
Memphis
Michigan State
Oregon
and
Syracuse
so is this a good idea? or is it a guaranteed six big losses?

wow- this stumps me a little, but just maybe the writer Joel Welser is a guy who finally sees that a couple NIT appearances using OE and a decent supporting cast
won't translate into much more when OE has a mainly unknown supporting cast.
anyone else agree with this-- "The frontcourt gets more help with walk-on transfer Blake Mishler and incoming freshmen Jon Ekey"
and the projected 3-forward (and possibly 4 if OE really is a small forward as Lindy's claims) starting lineup.
We're definitely going to see something oddball here...but I can't believe we will see Evansville, Drake, or MSU in the top three.
here's what the guy has said so far for the Valley
#137 Indiana State - 7th in the Valley
#117 SIU - 6th in the Valley
#94 Wichita State - 5th in the Valley
#76 ISU - 4th in the Valley
So the teams not yet revealed are Evansville, Drake, Missouri State, BU, Creighton, and UNI.
so then his final three will be
#1 UNI, #2 CU, and #3 BU!
also - Iowa State is #77 - 9th in Big 12
