  • Ex-BU Players in Action This Summer

    Here are some places to see some of the ex-BU players...and we'll add when we find out more...

    Matt Salley will be in the ESL currently playing in Chicago. He is on Team Berlin - they lost their first game Monday 105-75



    Lawrence "Boogie" Wright is playing in the league in Bloomington


    Michael Rembert will be playing in the Chicago ESL with Team Madrid, they lost their first game Monday 120-81.

    JJ Tauai was with Team Geneva of the Las Vegas ESL last summer and is still listed on their roster, but the Las Vegas ESL doesn't start for another week.

    also, ex-ISU Marcus Arnold is set to play in the ESL on Team Warsaw

    The Eurobasket Summer League had several fine performances...
    and here are some of the reports on player you might be familiar with....

    ex-ICC guard Wendel Mardis
    "Wendell Mardis the exciting point guard from Southwest Baptist scored 19 points and handed out 7 assists and had 4 steals.
    He is exceptionally lightning quick and has a great jump shot and can penertrate at will against anyone in the world."

    ex-Peoria Central HS player Quinton Edwards
    "Quentin Edwards/Missouri Southern was a really nice player and he scored 13 points; 3 rebounds and had 8 assists for the Athens team."

    Ex-Drake Bulldog Al Stewart
    "Al Stewart ..athletic point guard who was an PBL All Star in 09 was too hot to handle and
    too quick to see as he scored 24 points; 3 rebounds and 4 assists.
    He is excellent in transition and is a very good defender while being very crafty as a play maker."


    Chicago native Tyrone Kent
    "Tyrone Kent (196-G/F-86) of Toledo who displayed a nice all around floor game.
    He shot the ball extremely well from deep and he was great at creating off the dribble
    and he often found teammates open with his uncanny passing ability."

    ex-SIUE TJ Gray
    "T.J. Gray.. exploded in the fourth quarter as him and his teams mate got hot from the 3pt line.
    They also scored a lot of fastbreak buckets to overwhelm their opponents in the final quarter.
    T.J. Gray scored 29 points; 6 assists ; 3 rebounds and had a fewsteals while putting his stamp on the game.
    He is lightning quick and has a dynamic jump shot that was unstoppable in this contest."


    Nate Minnoy: 21pts; 8rbs; 3ast
    Deandre Thomas (203-C-86) the former Indiana Hoosier and Chicago prep legend scored 16 points; 8 rebounds and showed serios skills for a man of his size.
