Last Wednesday night, in a phone conversation with Bradley coach Paula Buescher, Kelly Frings gave BU a verbal commitment.
Kelly Frings is a 6'1" forward who will be a senior at Milwaukee Pius XI High School in New Berlin, Wisconsin next school year.
Frings, a first-team All-Classic 8 Conference and honorable mention all-state player last season, led the league in scoring (13.1 points per game), rebounding (7.4 per game), steals (2.4) and three-point baskets (23). Frings chose Bradley over Northern Iowa, Ball State, Princeton, Youngstown State, Miami (Ohio) and Air Force.
A couple weeks ago, Frings' AAU teammate Kelsey Budd, (Jr; Sauk Prairie H.S) also committed to Bradley.

Kelsey Budd is a 5'9 combo guard. Last season, Budd averaged 17.2 points, 4.6 assists and 2.7 steals for the Sauk Prairie (WI) Eagles. She was selected first team all-area by the State Journal, honorbale mention all-state by the Associated Press, and was named first team all-conference in the Badger North for the third straight year. Kelsey helped lead her Sauk Prairie team to their first conference title in 30 years and a sectional final berth, where they were defeated by Middleton. Budd selected Bradley over Creighton, Vermont, and Northern Iowa.
Kelly Frings and Kelsey Budd will sign their national letters of intent with Bradley in November of this year. Both players played for the Wisconsin Fastbreak Select 17U AAU team.
