Remember the "Roadrunner"!
Willie Scott was an instrumental part of the Braves' 1982 NIT Championship run...
So what's Willie been up to...
He is a King HS grad (1978 ) out of Chicago who came to BU and played from 1981-1983.
He had intially gone to Hillsdale (Mich.) College, an NAIA school, for two years, then transferred to Bradley to play for coach Dick Versace.
He then had a post-BU career in pro basketball in Argentina, Spain, and Italy.
Then Willie developed and designed a custom clothing business for NBA players in Chicago in 1998.
Then after a few years, he moved to Jackson, Mississippi to care for his mother who was in poor health, and found a job as an assistant on the coaching staff at Jackson State.
Now Willie is the Head Coach at Malcolm X College in Chicago, where he has just completed his first season as head coach.
One of Willie's best players this past year was just recruited by and landed by Isiah Thomas at Florida International University...
He is the first D-I player out of Malcolm X in recent memory.
