still, it's a win-win setting for BU...
if the kid comes, then I still want him - he sounds like a great athlete as does Wilkins, and if he either fizzles out or JL finds someone better, then no LOI means BU is absolutely free to do as they please...

Grid will be updated this afternoon.....apparently my most current file is at work. I need to start getting more organized this time of year!
The grid is updated.???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

(I am not saying I agree with you BB on this, but I do in a way... and mostly that I hope he does don a Bradley uniform)
But my feelings are consistent with a conversation I had with jmp and squirrel last fall regarding Wilkins. And understand, it's not that I care less about the talented players involved.
For me, I clearly feel I will no longer get excited/overexcited/anxious/etc about a player/recruit/verbally committed/signed player until I SEE them in Red/White on the floor for Bradley.
I feel this way because of the Grundy situation and I have cut off my emotions for the future because of it. End of story.
I wish Sean Harris the best over the next couple years and think it would be great to see him put on a Bradley uniform. If he doesn't, I still wish him the best.

I agree and think thats a reasonable approach. Personally I temper my thoughts on ALL incoming freshamn. First, until they DON the Red and White secondly, until I see them in a game or seven.
I too wish Sean the best but MY feelings are we see BOTH these guys. Just a gut. But I'm prepared for life on the hill with neither.

Remember, Grundy - like Justin Dentmon - made the voluntary choice to not honor his commitment.
Both Wilkins and Harris would love to come and play right now at BU, it is their dream and desire...but...
factors well beyond the control of either of them mandate a detour. I see a huge difference...this is not their choice, so it's not the same as the Grundy case...
Especially in the case of Harris...just where is the guy gonna go in the fall of 2011 when he returns from Honduras?
He will need to continue college (he's only finished one year so far) and he has an offer on the table to play D-I ball.
Likewise, if Wilkins was going to listen to any of those other offers.....why didn't he do it when 50 different top D-I coaches
were offering him at the AAU event in Las Vegas? Wilkins, as you know, also has strong ties and a reason to remain committed.

gotcha...just ribbing you a little.........
like I said.....I think it's a win-win situation....
the present situation puts BU well in the lead for the services of two fine players above the caliber generally landed in the Valley, but we haven't actually committed anything and can still recruit and give the scholarship to anyone we want.
If things work out, then we can also still land those two guys as they appear committed to BU and nowhere else.
