Here is a brief followup on BU recruit Sean Harris.
Sean is a 6'7" skilled forward from Rocklin, California, who played for Yuba college under Coach Doug Cornelius. He finished his one season at Yuba in 2008, and committed to Bradley for 2010, while planning to go on a 2-year hiatus to do a mission with the Mormon church.
For the last year, Sean has remained at home in California and dedicated his time to training for his foreign mission assignment. He has managed to stay active playing a little bit of basketball, and has even competed this summer in the Sacramento Pro Development League (SPDL), the same summer league Zach Andrews has played for in past summers.
He's playing for a team coached by Coach Cornelius, and containing several other former Yuba players, including a couple guys that Jim Les recruited- Mareceo Rutledge (UNLV) and Aaron Garner (Boise State).Sean is getting the opportunity to play against teams containing players who have played professionally, as well as other collegite players. Sean has played well- he scored 12 points and had 4 rebounds in their first game last Monday (6/8 ). His most recent game was Wednesday (6/10- no stats available yet), and he is scheduled to play again tomorrow night.
Sean has just found out where he is assigned to do his mission-- San Pedro, Honduras. We don't know when he will be leaving, but probably soon.
Congratulations Sean! Stay safe!
