  • Rivals article on MVC

Rivals has an awesome new article about the MVC
and even has a nice pic of Jim Les.
They really applaud the top attendance teams in the Valley for doing better than some ACC & Big Ten teams.

    Interesting comment..
"Bradley coach Jim Les coached in front of more fans per home game than UCLA or LSU."

In another thread, there was discussion about the effect of campus amenties / beauty on recruiting. While those elements certainly affect recruiting, I would say the opportunity to play in front of 9,000+ fans per home game trumps whether or not you have a pretty campus. If MVC attandance per home game can surpass the P10 this year, that will provide some great ammo on the recruiting trail.

Sorry, but campus beauty was not my whole point. I mentioned that new and up to date facilities as very important especially athletic facilities. By the way, where are the 9,000 fans? Maybe 9,000 tickets are being sold, but many nights there were only 6,000-7,000 actually at the game.

I wouldnt say many nights, at least not last year while school was in session. Except for the one tuesday night or whatever it was during the week, it was always pretty full in there. Was it that much different over the students winter break?

GTD - you are right. Only Bradley sells tickets and has empty seats.
