  • Wichita State to Play LSU in 2006-2007

Wichita State has landed a top notch opponent for the upcoming season, continuing the trend of Valley teams scheduling big time.

LSU will go to Baton Rouge to play LSU on Nov. 25, 2006.
Then in 2007, LSU will go to Wichita State, with a third game in the series to be in the 2008-2009 season at a semi-neutral site, likely the CenturyTel center in Bossier City, LA.

I like this matchup, even though the "neutral" game is still right there in Louisiana.

That's good news for them and the Valley. They still need a couple more games though don't they?

Apparently LSU didn't get enough of the Valley last year when UNI beat them.....

Seriously, this is good scheduling by WSU.....name opponent, big-time talent in "Big Baby" Davis, national coverage. I'm glad to see more MVC teams scheduling up this year.....and more BCS teams willing to give MVC teams an opportunity to play quality opponents.

Speaking of midmajors doing some pretty nice scheduling,
St. Louis University just landed a home game against North
            Carolina on Dec. 22, 2006.
They also play SIU, Missouri State, Houston, Texas A&M
            (possibly), and Missouri-St. Louis.

I would love to see them knock off NC in St. Louis!
