Canadian College Submits Formal Application to be NCAA Member

Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, British Columbia) becomes the
"first school from north of the border to apply for NCAA membership".
They are applying for membership in NCAA Division II.
The NCAA first approved Canadian schools for membership in 2008, and now they are beginning to apply...

The NCAA announces it accepts the application for membership from Canadian University, Simon Fraser U.
They could become full D-II NCAA members within two years....
