The problem with getting real early commits

A kid named Jordan Dykstra committed to Iowa State & Greg McDermott way back as a freshman before he had even played a single game of varsity basketball.
But in the intervening two years, things have changed...and now the kid decommits...

another eary commit, Justin Martin, is rethinking his committment..
and is backing off his committment to Louisville
Martin told Dave Telep of Scout.com that he "committed too fast."
