I can now say that this is what I have heard, though my source was only 90% on it. BU vs. OSU and Utah vs. Illinois.

There isn't a bigger BU fan around than myself and I want them to beat whoever they play, but to say that Illinois wants nothing to do with Bradley and that Utah losing 4 starters and playing Illinois was planned is ridiculous. If they didn't want to take the chance of playing the Braves they wouldn't have committed to playing in the tounament. Let's beat Oklahoma St first and then go on to win the whole thing. When Oklahoma St was known as Oklahoma A&M, they had a great rivalry with BU. Would be nice to start it up again. What part of illegal don't you understand?

Originally posted by BradleyBrave View PostIt's not that they don't want to play BU at all. That's not what I said. Obviously the promoters want the Big 10 against the Big 12 in the title game. If I was putting on tournament, that's what I would want. BU projects out to be better than Utah next year, and is only an hour and a half from Illinois. It makes perfect sense for Illinois to want to avoid us on Friday night (which is what I said in my original post). We might be better than Utah and might have more to play for. If BU is waiting for Illinois on Saturday, I am sure the Illini will be more than happy, as they'll likely think they'll have an easier time than they would with Oklahoma St.What part of illegal don't you understand?

Great to renew the old MVC rivalry series anyway possible. . .
It will be the first time Bradley has faced Oklahoma State in 51 years.
Pride should be on the line too, as BU holds the 9-8 series advantage. Not only should we keep it, we should extend it.
Okie State should be better and have an incoming class ranked as high as #11.
While it wasn't a prolific series, when the two schools did play, both were perennial Top 10 teams.
If BU picks up another road game on the BYU opening weekend swing, the first few weeks Bradley will have the opportunity to get some national attention with success.
Wofford would be a challenging Vegas warm-up. The other likely won't be an RPI counter-though I may be wrong on that. So even though the opponent may not be great, it hopefully won't affect our RPI.

Note- from what I was told, I believe Bradley's tickets are in section 102-
Maybe it was by choice on BU's part to save a few bucks but I'd gladly pay a few extra dollars to sit more near the center.

It definitely was not Bradley's choice. They had to take what was given them. I suspect the other schools may have had their choices ahead of Bradley, since the tournament organizers likely are expecting more fans from Illinois, Utah, and Ok. State.
Plus, tournaments like this usually want to save the best seats to sell to the public, since poor seating sections are very hard to sell to the public.

I think you'll be happy with the seats in 102. I had seats similar to that at Hoffman Estates a few years ago, it was the club section at the side near the end of the court and I was worried about that, the diagram wasn't completely accurate - they turned out to have great sight lines and you're right by the basket when the Braves are coming your way. It looks like this arena is pretty much like the one in Hoffman Estates.
