    I like this one

    9. Fanboy

The Fanboy defends a particular product under any circumstances, no matter what the scenario. He is fervently aware that the Ford Pinto was an excellent car as long you avoided rear-end collisions in it. He also assumes that anyone who fails to praise said product to the skies must be engaged in an irrational vendetta against it -- in effect, he sees everyone who isn't a Fanboy as an Anti-Fanboy.
    Can we start winning soon?

I know this is a shot at some of the posters here. But come on, if you visit a site like this which makes no bones that it is a dedicated site for the fans of BU basketball, then how can anyone be be surprised if they encounter a fanboy or two?

Wow, I didn't find me! Maybe "Guy who nobody ever really understands..." would fit because so many times other posters take me wrong or don't realize I'm just having a good time messing with others and joking in a cryptic manner. "Dumb-Arse" would work too...

Nothing wrong with being a fanboy or any of the other things. Heck, I've probably been all of them at one point in time. It's understanding and recoginizing you are a fanboy or whatever and just admitting it and realizing not everyone thinks the same as you but that isn't all bad.

I like these three, but they all sound quite similar....

I agree. My point was that message board decorum is different, depending on the nature of the message board.
If you are visiting a neutral site, like ones hosted by a newspaper, or those which host fans from an entire conference, then it might seem a little inappropriate for someone to be over-the-top for one team, or to denigrate other teams.
But those things are normal and commonplace on every fan site I have ever seen that is dedicated to a single team.
So if anyone thinks "fanboy" behavior is not appropriate here, that's naive.

The bottom line is that anyone who is offended by fans' opinions posted on any message board dedicated to those fans' team, should stay away from that site.

Agreed. The site is called bradleyfans.com for crying out loud No one should be offended by the "fanboy" guy. Just as "fanboy" shouldn't be offended by someone who feels a little differently about the two posters favorite team.

I think all of us probably fit into one classification at one time or another. I know I have and will again at some point.
