Flagrant foul!!

Did anybody else think Rondo's foul on Brad Miller at the end of overtime in game 5 was a flagrant foul?

I thought it was obviously a flagrant foul and it not being called cost the Bulls the game since even if Miller missed a FT (which he did), he could make the second FT then try for win on last shot.

I think Rondo should be suspended one game as well. What a dirty dangerous foul to the face. Fouls to the face are supposed to be flagrant by definition of rule book right? (Miller will need some dentistry work now too which Rondo should pay for )

Agree that it was a flagrant foul. However there have been lots of missed and blown calls in this series so far, and I didn't expect them to call one. I like Brad Miller a lot and thinks he brings leadership as well as a bit of an attitude to a Bulls team that needed one, but as a professional basketball player, you're expected to make your free throws. He had a chance to tie the game and didn't.

I agree it was obviously flagrant. Miller had his arm extended and Rondo got nothing but his face. He obviously had no intention of getting the ball. He just wanted to stop Miller from scoring, whatever it took. But at the end of the day you still dont expect to get that call at Boston. I was extremely surprised when that 6th foul was called on Allen, although he is quite a hack.

That foul was NOTHING compared to the cr@p that the Bulls had to put up with against the original Bad Boys of Laimbeer, Thomas, Rodman and gang.

i just think the whole boston team is so dirty. every screen is illegal. and yes allen is a super hack haha. garnett is dirty too and i ahte garnett. Do you see him on the sidelines every games when they win yelling at the Bulls bench calling them "mother*******" and other profanities. what kind of role model is that and what type of human being is that? i know sports are competitive, but showing no class is pathetic.

and Rondo's foul, some analysts said he went for ball and stuff, but you can clearly see on replay, the ball wasnt even close to where Rondo swiped.
But still Miller should have made FTs, but at same time he most likely would have made second and would have had ball for last shot and chance to win if correct flagrant foul was called. So while it is Millers fault a little bit, also Bulls still would have had life, and with Gordon, probably a win! And yes it was in Boston, but a obvious dirty intentional swipe to a players head needs to be called as a flagrant. at the end of the game, a flagrant foul is still a flagrant foul, and needs to be called to protect players and to discourage players from like one espn analyst said "fouling by any means necessary to make sure he doesnt get a shot". I mean im not saying you cant intentional foul, but a foul to the head is very dangerous and needs to be called. Enough rambling... haha

While Miller was fouled by Rondo and his shot went up, Big Baby hit the rim trying to block the shot, isn't that a goaltend? Shouldn't the shot counted on the goaltend and he goes to the line shooting 1?

This has been for the most part a poorly officiated series, especially on Boston. That foul was definitely flagrant by rule. He didn't go for the ball and even caused injury. I guess that if anything was learned its that if Rondo is driving for a game winning layup next game that someone better clocked him to the point that he will miss the free throws because it will only be a two shot foul. RIDICULOUS!!!

Thats what the BUlls coach told the official...he was saying ( actually demonstrating by taking his own hand to his mouth) that he hit him in the mouth and the ref tried to say, again by demonstrating, that he was swiping at the ball and missed hitting his mouth. Yeah right.

Folks this stuff has been going on for YEARS in the Association. The league has no interest in seeing Chicago in the second round, they need(want) Boston and Cleveland in the Eastern finals. Its all about ratings and $$$.

The same stuff was done to other teams when the Bulls were in the Hayday in the 90's... go ask a Pacers fan if they thought the officials were fair to them. Jordan last shot made in a Bulls uniform was a complete shove off on the Utah player.

But realistically it does not matter, its already Lakers v Cavs in the finals... thats a book it.

Oh and yes Rondo's foul was flagerant, he made no attempt to play anything other then Brad Miller, he made no effort to play the ball. But I am wondering why Brad Miller is doing a finger roll from 4 feet away from the rim...

Oh and the elbow punch by Howard last night in Orlando was slightly less worse then the punch Rudy T took from Kermit Washington.

I bet Rondo gets no suspension and Howard gets one game for a flat out punch. The association is and has always been a complete joke when it comes to officiating games.

I thought he hit the rim to, but I don't think the ball hit the backboard or the rim because of the flagrant foul Miller got, so no goaltending call. But give credit, it was a well draw up play that most likely would of ended up a 2 pointer had the foul not accrued (One for the Bradley play books).
Miller sill should of made the free throws as he is a good FT shooter. The second FT shot miss might of worked had it hit the rim
