  • Two things DSE brings to the table...

Number one: DSE appears to be skilled at creating his own shot. So many highly rated guard prospects today excel at catch and shoot, but can't create their own shot. DSE has shown for 4 years that he can do that. He may not have the handle of a true point, but he's got skills enough to get space against 2-guard defenders to get an accuarate 15 ft. jumper in the air. ...secondly: DSE has an outstanding mid-range jump shot. It seems that today's game has a lot of love for dunkers and 3 point shooters, with very little love for mid-range jump shooters. I've seen DSE play twice live and a couple of video streams, and it's clear to me that he's a confident mid-range jump shooter. He will be a fine complement to AW (short term) and Jake Eastman (long term). Imagine a cross between Rob Dye and Barney Mines. I love this signing!

I have only seen DSE a couple of times, but I think that with his work ethic, DSE will also develop into a capable 3 point shooter as well.
    Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Yeh like the comparision there.... Dye and Mines..... just talked to a young man that has played against DSE and he said that he is so strong, quick and extremely tough to guard.....

Don't forget the defense! I think, when all is said and done, that may be what people remember him for in a BU uniform. Just a hunch.

Does DSE use the glass on some of his shots like Mines did? I don't think I've ever seen DSE play so I don't know - was just wondering. I LOVE a shooter that can use the glass.

Hop was the best bank shot player ever- and B Mines was a close second!

Chris Roberts is pretty good at using the glass.
