WE- hopefully he comes back 100% but even if he is he still has really only played significant minutes in 3 or 4 games in his career. He looked like he had potential but so did David Collins.
JP- freshman, will he really be able to contribute 15-20 minutes next year? i hope but clearly not a given
SS- he is what he is, should be a backup at beast on any team trying to win a conference title. I like SS but he isnt a guy that will put a eam over the top but should get some minutes and shoul contribute
MK- sounds like hes not a true big, more of a 3 or 4 type player who can create matchup problems/
AT- will he ever get off the bench? Obviously hes behind the depth chart of SS and WE should how can we expect him to do anything this year
TB- not a true big but hopefully can pick up some of the slack from TW next year. I hope for him to give us 8-10 ppg and 5-7 rpg and be ready to start hopefully.
Here's my 2 cents on the bigs.

WE - will be serviceable at the 5 next year but even better the following year. He will have to gain confidence in the knee during the non-conf sched but by conf time he will be playing like we saw in the 3 games he started this year.

JP - Will shine as a back up early but may hit the wall later as most freshman do. From what I have heard from some reliable sources is that if he struggles it will be with adapting to the speed of D1 play - that usually results in early foul trouble for bigs.

SS - if his knees hold up he will rotate between starting (early in non-conf) but mostly back-up. As many have said he is what he is.

AT - this is merely a hunch but I have a feeling he is going to make his move as a soph for some signif playing time. It's his 3rd year in the system, he will have another summer to bulk up, JL always eval's players going into summer as to their strengths & weaknesses and I think the fact that he has not jumped ship shows that JL has told him there is a place for him here and he has a determination to make things work at BU.

MK - I agree with the above thoughts - a 3-4 but looks like he (similar to TB) may have a nose for rebounding the basketball.

TB - again agree with the above assessment - look for him to bulk up over the summer and come back next year with lots of confidence and determination - think he has his heart set to follow his Dad's footsteps to the NBA and will do whatever it takes to make it there.

I think these two guys will be the key to BU's success next year. Hopefully, they can both take it up a significant notch. I fear if AT sits on the bench again he will be gone after X-Mas break.

        one thought....
our 3 best 3-point shooters this past season were Dodie (37%), Sam M. (35%), and Chris Roberts (34%) -- and yet none of those guys was known as a particluarly great 3-point shooter coming in...(Dodie shot only 30.3% at Iowa State and CRob shot lo-30's in JC)

BUT--- two of next fall's incoming kids (Eastman, Knezevic) are strongly credited with being great outside shooters, and the other two guys (DSE for sure & JP, too) are also not that shabby.

BU will be far more effective against all the zones they throw at us when we get our shooters.
Can't wait for the return of AW and Tyler Les also...
