wow--- we have a close race between Agatucci's, Monical's and "other"...
(I voted for other...as I am salivating for pizza from the Brick Oven)

This was a tough choice but Aggie's is still the best. Monical's was a close
2nd though I do agree that Monical's is a lot better in person. Mickey's is a close 3rd. I'd vote for Avanti's for best thick crust.

I voted Bellacino's because they put out photocopy-able coupons with no expiration date for Buy 1 Get 1 Free pizza's. Literally fed me for a semester.

The best in town was easily PENGUIN TAP PIZZA, but since it closed down TnT's has the recipe. Its still good but not quite the same.

Also, Larry's Driftwood Inn Pizza between East Peoria and Pekin is really good.

By the way-Carry out only, no seating.
Pegasus is still there and they still have fantastic pizza-doesn't warm up very good so eat up & enjoy until it is gone

              Nick & Willys Pizza!!!

It's a take and bake, but they also have small pizzas to eat in! Most times I'm back in town, I'm getting a couple and putting them on ice for the trip back to oHIo.

Firehouse Pizza is another place I used to frequent that isn't listed.

Tyroni's lunch buffet cannot be beat. If you have never been there for the buffet I suggest you try it. I think they also have it on Wednesday nights.

I am a little surprised more haven't mentioned Davis Brothers based only on past reputation, but I have been there recently and it has fallen far from where they once were.
Maybe the pizza is still pretty good, but the place (EP) is run down a bit.

                        Rhythm Kitchen. Hands down.
Here's the deal, Wyoming for football, Bradley for basketball.

I'm still a fan of Hoops as my favorite Ptown establishment but an underrated za is Gorman's.

I completely forgot about Rythm Kitchen--haven't been there in a long time--you are correct--it is as good as it is unique

I have revived this old thread about the best pizzas...
feel free to ignore, but I have a couple new questions, since I have tasted pizzas from a couple new joints...
(plus it's a slow day for basketball news)

we sampled 3 different pizzas from Firehouse Pizza last week (cheese, sausage, pepperoni) and I was wondering what others thought....
I have heard people say they really like Firehouse, but I thought there was ONE feature that really stood out and prevented me from enjoying it..
the sauce must have a LOT of sugar added, because it was so candy-like sweet that it dominated the taste and nullified the really nice flavor of the cheese & pepperoni...
I'd have to rate it only a 2 out of 10
How do others feel about Firehouse

Also I have had several of the extremely thin crust pizzas offered as appetizers at Granite City....and I absolutely love them.....
they are among the best pizzas I have had........rated 9.5 out of 10!
(plus is a convenient place to go after Bradley games, right across the river, and several of the players and their families & other fans often show up after BU games)

any other new places or other comments??
