Wichita State lands a couple guards

Guard Bryce Mayes (6'2", 170 pounds) will walk on at Wichita State next year. He was an All-Class 2A selection.
He led the state in scoring with an average of 30.7 points and scored 50 points against Elk Valley.

Just when it looked like Wichita State coach Greg Marshall had enough guards, he has signed another one--

Demetric Williams, a 6'2" shooting guard from Las vegas committed today to Wichita State. He averaged 16 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds per game during his senior season at North Las Vegas Cheyenne High School.

He joins 6'3" guard Kenny Manigault, 6'7" wing Jerome Hamilton, and the 2 guards above, Tyler Richardson and preferred walkon Bryce Mayes, in Wichita State's 2009 recruiting class.

Wichita State was interested in Dyricus Simms-Edwards at one time, and was one of the first 2 D1 schools to offer a scholarship.

This latest signing puts them at the maximum of 13 scholarships committed for next season.
