Give me a break on the puns, is the guy who writes for the Redbirds fan site the same guy
who makes up the headlines at the PJ Star?
    The puns are terrible..
    "Redbirds Add Moor Depth"
(the kid's name is Julius Moor)

Anyway, I don't know where they got their statistics, but they definitely DO NOT match the
stats given on the official NJCAA web site.

Here's what the official site says
    Julius Moor

    as a freshman:
    28 games, 28-52FG, 7-31 on 3's, 19-26 FT, 96pts (3.4ppg), 31 assists (1.1apg), 1.6reb per game.

    as a sophomore:
    36 games, 59-111FG, 22-65 on 3's, 61-92FT, 245pts (6.8ppg), 124 assists (3.4apg), 3.5reb per game.

Total over two years at Kirkwood:
    64 games, 5.3ppg, 2.4 assists per game

The release from ICC (pretty much what's also in the PJ Star)
    says the kid
"ran the Eagle offense for two seasons under head coach Doug Wagemester.
As the team captain last season, Moor averaged nine points and four assists per game
    "

So did he average 9pts/4assists, or 6.8/3.5?

Actually, if you add his scoring averages from 2004-2005 and 2005-2006, it is close to 9 ppg.

I suspect the Redbirdfan site just wanted to fudge the statistics a little,
since we all know what ISU needs moor than depth is Moor scoring!

        HAHAHA. well played.

He's non-scholly, so anything he gives is a bonus. Hopefully he can make Boo work in practice against a taller PG. An addition that won't hurt, but likely won't help that much either.

Yeah, just a little humor. It is a slow time for us basketball freaks. I wouldn't expect him to add much scoring, though I think ISU will score better than they did last year. They were bad.

no doubt about that. Our offense was pathetic a year ago. If we can find some offensive consistency, we should be pretty solid this year.We were excellent defensively a year ago and should be even better this year in that regard. That's what is giving us Redbird fans some hope for this year.

The Journal Star had a piece about the addition of Julius Morr, but I cannot find anything at all in the Pantagraph.
Has the Panty forgotten about the Redbirds?

I the Panty has forgotten about ISU hoops. Would be nice to have some recruiting/scheduling/or summer practice updates on the ISU front. Maybe Moser likes to keep some of that info close to the vest, but who knows. You would think a roster addition would crack the news.

                  ABSOLUTELY
If PM wants to compete for the best recruits he has to get in the paper and on TV every day if possible.
As Coach K does, start doing commercials and talk yourself up.
He's got to get someone on his staff on the phone to the Pantagraph every day with some good news, and maybe they'll give him some press.
