Wow Sammy has 38 more 3's when AW That is surprising, to me anyway. I knew Sam had made alot of 3's but I would of thought the difference would not of been by that amount. But then again AW played one more year with 2 of the top 5-3 point shooters in BU's history. Sammy a gamer and a good shooter. I think these next two years with AW playing Sam's got a real chance at JC. Earlier this year some ? Sammy's shooting, I guess theres no ? now Keep shooting Sam

Not to take away from Sam, but he's played significantly more minutes and several more games over his first two years than Andrew Warren did. If I had to pick a guy I wanted taking a 3 at the end of a game, it would still be AW. Hopefully we eventually get to see both of these guys healthy for an entire season!

absolutely-- jc didn't play NEAR the minutes maniscalco has in his first two years, i'd take bu's all time 3pt. leader over them all tho

How were we so mediocre last year?

Just looking at stats it seems impossible to me that we were barely above .500

by last year I mean 2007-2008 with Crouch, Ruffin, SM, and TW

Well, it was the combination of injuries, off-the-court issues, and no defense. Add those 3 things together, and you get a maddeningly mediocre season from a pretty talented team.

It's been a long time sense we seen AW shoot. But what I remember is his shot has more arch, nice rotation and soft touch. Sammy shot has little arch and his shot is so hard which does not give much room for error. I hope AW shakes this foot thing because like you say, it would be nice to have both on the court at the same time. If this new kid can shot like its being said, Bye,Bye Zones

some of this depends on what you call mediocre...of course we all would have wanted better, but give credit where credit is due...
The MVC was the highest ranked non-BCS conference, and the #7 strongest conference overall, and Bradley finished - despite injuries and suspensions - with 21 wins, and an RPI of 104, better than 70% of all D-I programs, and drawing crowds that were better than 85% of all D-I programs.
to me, mediocre is a record of .500 or below and an RPI of 160-180 or worse.

                    We were mediocre.

8-8 in the Valley I believe...I could be wrong that's off the top of my head.

Before the CBI what were we...17-15?

We should have finished the season with that record...that's mediocre.

And yes Bradley, unfortunately, has been hounded with injuries.

I'll agree that we were mediocre because of injuries, but I will not agree that we weren't mediocre.

This year we were even more "mediocre". And yes I do agree, again, that it was from injuries, but our fundamentals are terrible.

P.S. Sorry Murph for saying "our" and "we" in this post while referring to Bradley basketball. I do not own the team, that deems me ineligible to say those words.

Many teams had injuries and issues--have another pitcher of Red Kool-aid 10-8 for 4th place in the 10th rated conference in D-I basketball, losses to the likes of Platteville (home!), UMKC, Old Dom (home), SIU, E-ville, Drake...mediocre is accurate indeed--

Cubbie, he was talking 2007-2008, and we never lost an official game to Platteville any more than we count the Red-White game as a loss.

AW is just barely higher than SM in 3's made per 40 minutes. I just added this category to the Career Production Per 40 thread.....
