  • Extreme Acts of Cowardice

Maybe this didn't get much discussion in our area...although Kirk Wessler mentioned it...

but someone killed a small goat and hung it's severed head as a prank, a sick joke, on the statue outside Wrigley Field.

I guess maybe I am of the old school.....as I think this is one of the most cowardly, deviant things I have heard of lately.
Maybe some self-aggrandizing jerks think highly of themselves when they can come up with crap like this, but
they are truly puny little cowards in my mind.
Using the darkness and their anonymity for such acts of cowardice. this act and others like it, attacks, hate crimes, sending threats & hate mail, etc. define the lowest element of our society.
Sorry- but I am not really even that much of a Cubs fan, and yet this makes me sick to think someone is probably proud of these acts.

IF they actually killed a goat just for the head I agree...sick...sick...sick.

I have heard goats heads can be "aquired" from butcher shops though and WGN was reporting THATS where it came from.

    Still kinda sick though IMO.

There are *****s everywhere in the world....this is not that surprising.

Yes....I doubt very much someone went out and got a goat so they could kill it only to use the head in some sort of Wrigley voodoo. I could be wrong though, as I'm not quite sure the mental state of baseball fans in the city of Chicago.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

After two consecutive years in the playoffs with zero wins, and no World Series since 1908, or World Series appearance since 1945, I am will to be that Cub fans are getting ready to drink the magic Koolaid

Cub fans kill goats...Sox fans go after humans, especially 3rd base coaches.

Wasn't he the 1st base coach rather than the 3rd base coach?

I'm beginning to think Tornado might be a goat.

Seriously, though. It's just a prank. A really lame prank...but a prank. I don't get where the outrage is coming from.

That's acceptable. As long as you're not a Cubs fan.

Yes he was. Maybe Cub fans don't know the difference.

A "prank" doesn't involve killing something. IF someone killed a live goat for the sole purpose of hanging it on a statue for some lame baseball superstition it wasn't a prank...its a crime. And its sick IMO.

With that said I still think the gaots head came from a butcher shop......IF thats the case its a prank...albiet a stoopid one.
