  • Darian Norris to transfer to...

Darian Norris is reported to be transferring to Salt Lake Community College, in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a good move for Darian. He doesn't have to sit out a year, he can play next season, and work on his point guard skills.
Also, SLCC, who was rated as one of the top jucos all year, will lose 5 of their top 6 scorers to graduation, and their starting and backup point guards both graduate, so Darian should be able to get playing time.

Salt Lake Community College won the Division I NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) national championship last month at Hutchinson, Kansas. They defeated Midland College 67-60 in the final game.

Congrats to Darian, and best of luck in the future. Sounds like a great opportunity for him to work on his PG skills.

I know it will not happen but can a guy leave a program/transfer, go to a JUCO, then decide to transfer back to the orginal school?

Yes. Bobby Hill did it at Illinois State- then Lincoln College, then back to ISU. It happens occasionally.

Didnt he leave ISU for Academics? Norris is leaving because of his situation. I am sure there really is no difference overall.
