Just curious, does anyone have a way to find how many D-I schools have winning records all-time in both
    the NIT and NCAA?

Isn't BU the only school, or one of the only schools to play in both the NIT and NCAA Championship in the same year?

Since they played and lost to CCNY in both the NIT title game and the NCAA title game, I'd say that CCNY has also done it.

I agree, although I don't think CCNY has a team anymore.

Sure they do, but they are long, long gone from Division I,
            they had a 12-14 record in 2005-2006

They are a Division III team in the City University of New
            York Conference

The teams in their conference are:
            Baruch
            Brooklyn
            CCNY
            Hunter
            John Jay
            Lehman
            Medgar Evers
            New York City Tech
            Staten Island
            York Cardinals (N.Y.)

All their players are from right in the city.

I met a guy that attended CCNY. We talked about the games in that year. The point-shaving scandal. The scandal over players for CCNY that weren't even students - just street players suiting up for games.

I had mentioned how surprised I was that CCNY never got those games taken away from them and cleared from the record books.

He told me that CCNY got a deal from the NCAA:

They get to keep their NIT and NCAA National Championships and remain in the record books....

              -in return-

CCNY gets banned from DI and never allowed to return - ever.

Guess that is the good outweighing the bad - huh?

They shouldn't have been given a choice. They should have their titles stripped and given to their rightful owners (Bradley University) and still banned for life. The fact that we don't have that National Championship is a great injustice.

Not sure that would fly, as several Bradley players were also found to be involved in the point shaving scandal, so who would get the first place trophy?

Kentucky - of course (they would get cleared of all point-shaving involvement).

Yes, but we weren't using ineligible players off the street like CCNY. At least our cheaters were still students at the university.
