David Terrell, a one time recruiting target of Bradley's and a high school friend and AAU teammate od Eddren's
has signed with Morehead State. He, unfortunately, had a bit of a disappointing juco sophomore season - but he played well enough to help lead Midland to the NJCAA Championship Title game.........
but because he was kinda forced to play out of position as a small forward (at only 6-4) he wasn't high on a lot of schools' lists......otherwise he'd have gone higher.

Jefferson, a native of Bloomington, Illinois, has signed with Chattanooga. I would have loved to get this kid.

I saw that you thought highly of him, scout....
here's what you said a few weeks ago...

He's about 6-8 230 and very athletic. Jefferson grew eight inches from his freshman year of high
school to his first year of junior college. He's physical, very skilled around the rim, runs the floor well,
and just has a solid overall game. Ohio, Chattanooga, Missouri State, Eastern Illinois,
and plenty other schools have extended scholarship offers. Purdue and UAB are two schools
that are heavy on him as well. There are questions whether or not he will qualify though.
In my opinion, he's a Big Ten caliber player.

But Da Coach also thought he was going to be a good chance of ending up DI, and posted this earlier.......
In other juco recruiting- DeAntre Jefferson, a big 6'8", 230 pound center who is originally from Bloomington, IL,
        committed to Tennessee-Chattanooga.
He had been recruited by Illinois State and Southern Illinois.

so I guess my question is.....when we near the end of the spring signing period, schools with open scholarships
seem to spring wildly for kids with size and kids who have PG skills...........
some zero-star and one-star recruits end up getting BCS offers....
so.........why didn't DeAntre Jefferson wait a bit....was he afraid the offer from Chattanooga was going to get pulled???

Former BU recruit Tim Flowers from Chicago Simeon, who spent part of a year at UW-Milwaukee, then a year at Kennedy-King Junior College, was rumored to be headed to UIC.
But today he committed to Chicago State University.

Chattanooga is a very good basketball school. They are usually the dominant team in the Southern Conference (except for 2 of the past 3 years because of a kid named Steph Curry). ESPN rated Chattanooga a top 50 national program this past summer and their NCAA tournament history has proven it. In addition, they send at least two kids to the professional ranks in Europe each year. With them losing their top two post players, I'd say Jefferson made a very good choice. He'll definitely have a pro career after his college years are through. Illinois State and Southern Illinois have been better in recent years and play in a better conference, but the storied history of Chattanooga is much strong.
