To those who know...how good a player is Paris Gulley? Is he a qualifier? DI level players? Thanks.

Today's PJStar says that he is an academic qualifier but currently has no Div. 1 offers and likely will play at the D-11 level next year.

D-11? Wow, I thought he might just try D2 for now!

Paris Gulley is a nice player, but he is more of a 2-guard than a true point guard. I don't think he could play PG in Bradley's offense, where the PG has to have great ball-handling and passing skills, but he probably could play point for some D1 teams. He is listed at 6'1", but that is generous, and he's very thin. I think that's the problem some D1 coaches see with Gulley, that he is a little small for the 2-guard position. But there have been a number of 2-guards in the MVC who have excelled at 6'. This year's POY was a 6' shooting guard (Woodfox). I am not suggesting Gulley could be another Woodfox, but I think he is similar to a Cavel Witter (ex-Creighton) or a young Daniel Ruffin.

BTW- did anyone notice Paris Gulley's superstition from the PJS article--
SUPERSTITION: “If I step on someone’s heel I will tap them three times.”

I think we already have a lot of those on the team. I'd prefer a big guy that has post move that forces a double-team, or at least a guy that can defend and rebound inside.

I'm in your camp BB. I think when we signed Eastman that we got the guard we wanted/needed. I'd like to see a "big" as well.

Would love to see a big too....but I really like what a player like DSE brings....if there is a big that brings those attributes...well coached, hard worker, solid student....get him!

I am with you Coach Dude. The key word being IF.
If DSE decides to be a BRAVE, I would welcome him with open arms.
It would be great to have the 2 reigning PJS players of the year in BRADLEY RED next year
Prosser and DSE are not only great basketball players, but great people.
                          Bring em on.!
