What Good are Ratings for a Mid Major?

I believe Butler was rated in the top 20 most of this past season and when it came to the NCAA seedings they got the kiss of death 8/9 seed or (32-33-34-35 rating)! They treat them like they treat most every other mid major - you have to win your league and your tourney, save Gonzaga and Memphis!

I'd rather win our tourney and get a 12 - 14 seed and take my chances beating a 3-5 seed rather than get stuck in the 8/9 game in the NCAA!

Joe Lunardi has just posted his projected brackets for 2010. He has only 1 MVC team in the NCAA, Northern Iowa at a #13 seed playing #4 Butler.--

Here is the latest Bracketology update from Joe Lunardi of ESPN. No big changes regarding the MVC. He still has only 1 MVC team, Northern Iowa, in the field as a #13 seed.-
