JL has overachieved if you count the multiple injuries and odds and ends he has had to endure...

UNI and CU are going to have add some depth and work hard to retain their top spots - my outside favorite for next year is WSU!

I agree that WSU will be a force to be reckoned with next year. They'll probably go 9-0 at home...they won their final 7 league games at home this year including beating the top 3 teams in the league, and they return nearly everyone next season. I would like to know why many here do not seem to see WSU as a serious contender next year.

          2011 is the year.

          2009-2010: Top 3.

          2010-2011: First place.

lets see where everybody else picks

              March 2010 " I told ya so"

If you think JL has over-produced each season then you have set a low expectation for the program. How can the highest finish of 4th place in a mid-major conference be considered over-producing? However, you are on the right track... Lowered expectations is the key to happiness in life and you seem pretty happy.

I agree with you, too, Tulsa. I think both Bradley and Wichita have the two most talented teams in The Valley. The Valley seems to always have one surprise team and I think it may be WSU next year.

We were picked 2nd in the Valley last year (07-08 )...that didn't happen.
The PJS pre season basketball insert had us picked 2nd (behind CU)--SIU was 3rd, Drake 4th, ISU 5th, and UNI 6th...

The Valley will be a better conference next year, and BU will win the Valley next year!! (but then I also said that last year)
                  Bradley football--undefeated again this year

On a baseball note, I think there are too many Cubs fans on this board that are eternal optimists who are predicting a 1st place finish next year for BU just like the Cubs are going to win the WS every year in April. We need be realists and acknowledge that our big men need to develop and produce in order to make a good run next year.

NAH...WE DON'T need to be anything, ESPECIALLY "realists" when it comes to sports. Save the realism for the importaint things in life that REALLY matter. Sports, to ME anyway, is all about kool aid, eternal optomism, dreaming...believing....hoping.....

I need to see who our final recruit is before I make any bold predictions, no doubt we should be competing for valley titles the next 4 seasons, I would like to see our final scholarship go to the 6-6 kid from Kentucky.

                              Ricardo Johnson? He's a 2010 kid.
