  • Rick Majerus Talks About His Wealth

    and various other topics........interesting article...

he has apparently made a killing selling "high end" liquor....

" I’ve made a lot more money outside of coaching than in coaching.
Who wants to coach to make money? You can make a lot more money
    outside of it.

“We have a liquor distributorship out of Florida, which is the largest
distributor of a high-end rum in the United States. It’s the largest selling rum
in South America. I’m going to get a distributorship out of Cuba for a coffee. I
can have whatever cities I want in North America when I get done coaching.
The Cuban coffee is very acidic, but very addictive. It’s a unique blend. I’m
not even a coffee drinker. I dip chocolate chip cookies in coffee, but if I
wanted to make a lot of money I would pay more attention to that right now."

Well B4life, if you havent already, check out this SI article from January 2008 about Majerus. This link was mentioned on a post at the bottom of the current sj-r.com article that has since been removed. IMO There were a couple of things mentioned in the SI article about Majerus that are pretty disturbing. It's no wonder why this guy has a lot of players transfer.

        Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
