Maybe because ours is a formula that works...so why change it even if it is getting "old".
I am an avid BRADLEY fan with season tickets for over 20 years. But it seems that the only way some posters on here can make our BRVES look is to rip on other teams. Why can't posters just talk about our BRAVES. I don't give a rats rear end about what is or isn't going on at isu-red

I agree....I had a boss tell me once "instead of ripping the competition to make yourself look good just focus on yourself and your OWN product/strengths."

I like a good rivalry as well as the next guy but BU has NO room to talk when it comes to stuff that happens OFF the court like breaking rules.....transfers.....defections......we live in a glass hosue.

I think that's fair unless the competition is lead by the epitome of evil....I hate you Bill Belichick...

As a general fan of college basketball, and an avid BU fan, I care to know about anyone who is perceived as our competition or is on our schedule.

Unfortunately, there's just not much good to be said about ISU-red

thanks B4L, and note that NOBODY is ever required to either read or agree with what others post,
thus it shouldn't bother you if it isn't what you care a rats behind about

Anyone else think that JL's past experiences have benefited in landing some of the "underrecruited" types?

I don't know really. many coaches have some NBA contacts and it doesn't seem to have made any difference in our seasons

I believe JL's NBA experience may not be getting him some inside scoop on players but it does help him recruit. Les can easily say, "I know what it takes to get to the next level and at BU we also have an Ex-NBA executive/coach (DV) that can also help you with your game." That to me is a great recruiting tool.

Still waiting for that to get BU further than 4th in the MVC after 7 years...

Kinda with gtd on this one. I know what you're saying, and initially I thought that might be a nice recruiting tool. However, there is little evidence to suggest that has made any difference in the caliber of player we've landed at BU.

Good point. Every coach has a recruiting tool that is unique. I also doubt Jim Les is using Dick Versace's name in recruiting. He isn't on staff at the University and shouldn't be working with the players.

Just out of curiosity but why isn't DV on staff with BU?

He'd be great in some way shape or form.

Dick is retired and lives in Chicago. From what I have heard, he is not interested in getting back into coaching. He is happy doing the broadcasts.

I thought he lived just outside Canton. Did he move?

He doesn't have to be a coach. Try being our AD after Ken leaves.
