just meant to be a comparison to another highly touted shooting guard that came into the Valley a couple years ago accompanied by a lot of hype...but who ended up shooting a career 10%
The JC the played in the last 10 or so games of his senior season could have played for any school in the country. If the Eastman turns out anywhere near as good as JC, Ill be giddy!
I don't remember that JC actually had any Big Ten offers. The story was that Wisconsin liked him and wanted to come down to see him in a private workout. I don't know if they ever did. If anyone knows, let us know.
But I think he turned out to be better than what a lot of coaches projected, and he was arguably good enough to play at a higher level.

PEKIN - In recent years, Bradley has been unable to land the local basketball players who drew interest from the Big Ten, guys like Jerry Hester, A.J. Guyton, Mark Vershaw, Sergio McClain and J.R. Koch.
That all changed Tuesday when Pekin junior guard Jeremy Crouch orally committed to BU after making his official visit to the school last weekend.
His other finalist schools were Northwestern, Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. He made unofficial visits to both Northwestern and Wisconsin.

Why in every thread does there have to be a shoot at ISU-red? It is really getting old.

I recall Wisconsin and Northwestern being in the picture. But I also recall that they did not come through with offers before JC committed to Bradley.
There are some things that are getting old on this site but taking a shot at ISU-red will never IMHO get old!
At least we don't have posters whose names are "ISU s*cks", or "Buck the Fredbirds". I guarantee you'll see a lot more obsession with Bradley bashing on their board than you'll ever see here toward ISU.
That's how a number of sites describe Jake Eastman. But how does a 6-4, 200 lb, dead-eye shooter with an NBA coach as his dad and a work ethic from he!! go "underrecruited"? I don't get it. Name me a program in the country that wouldn't want a kid like that.
Taylor Brown was kind of the same thing. NBA bloodlines and not much interest. I wondered how can a 6'6" kid with an NBA dad still be available in the 2nd summer after his senior year in high school unless he was a dud.
I was wrong as he is no dud, he is the dude. Lets hope Jake works out the same.
I have a 2nd question...why do ISU fans lurk, view, and post on BradleyFans at least 100 times more than Bradley fans ever go onto the ISU board?
Maybe because ours is a formula that works...so why change it even if it is getting "old".
Does anyone think some of the guys BU has landed have anything to do with JL's B-ball (NBA & WNBA) connections? I can think of WE, Boogie & Zach. Not sure if TB or JE made there way here for that reason. Also doesn't AW have a relative connected to the league as well (I may be off on that though). There may be more that I haven't mentioned. Anyone else think that JL's past experiences have benefited in landing some of the "underrecruited" types?
