Interesting Creighton rumor- Cavel Witter and Kenton Walker leaving?
I really hope this isn't true. It's better for us and the league for one of our flagship teams to remain strong and for us to rise to their level, rather than for them to sink into mediocrity.

Exactly!
I do agree if a media percieved strong team like Creighton tanks it reduces the MVC's possibility of getting multiple bids

Agreed. As a Bradley fan I want to win the league because we got better and beat good teams as opposed to hoping good teams get worse.
Defections and injuries happen to all teams. They have had a significant effect on Bradley in the past. If this is true and it hurts Creighton's chances next year, I won't feel too sorry for them, and I doubt many other MVC fans will either.

I won't feel sorry for them either. I would just rather everyone in the league stay healthy, beat the cr-p out of everyone in the non-con, and have BU be the best of the best during both the non-con and the conference season, with no one in the league having any injury or defection excuses. That's the perspective I am looking at it from. I know it's idealistic and what we all want, but also probably unrealistic.
wow, how much player turnover is enough?
(here's a list of Creighton players who have left in the past couple years...
Brice Nengsu, Tim Blackwell, Dennis Howard, Deangelo Jackson, Isaac Miles, Ty Morrison, Domo Bishop,
Tom Whitehead, Thomas Lane, Steve Smith, Cavel Witter, and poss Kenton Walker.
Even P'Allen was hanging by a thread last year and was almost gone....
The SIU folks are just happy nobody has left in the past three weeks!
anyway....the info on Stinnett comes from his text message response to a text message sent to him by the reporter????
So, let me get this straight....The press folks have P'Allen's
cell phone number and are questioning him via text messages?
In fact, the reporter even asked P'Allen via text message to respond to the stuff about Kenton Walker, and he did...
Is this how a coach wants info from his team to get on the front pages??
weird...............all this while Altman is in Detroit and maybe doesn't even know his players are texting the press??
.....are the wheels falling off??
Now there are even more rumors of other player departures, and one has to wonder what's going on.
Will Altman bolt like Turgeon did a couple years ago when the turmoil arose and players were bolting?

CU and Dana will be fine. They'll still probably contend for the MVC title next year....
interesting discussion of the public posts on their social networking pages going on between Cavel Witter (who just left Creighton) and Isacc Miles (who left last year). Not very complimentary of Dana Altman...
Can someone interpret that language, as it appears foreign to me.....

I'm guessing he probably wanted them to play team basketball and wasn't concerned with Miles or Witter's individual statistics. Dana's record in the MVC speaks for itself.
Change the color of their skin and use language like that on the internet and they both would likely be suspended and possibly expelled from Creighton. But since Witter already is gone his new school needs to investigate this clearly offensive language.
