I wonder if RW will even be coaching The Trees in the 07-08 season.

I am sure he is on thin ice there. They have a Athletic Director there now who announced that he wants to upgrade the performance of the athletics. Their football team was just picked to finish dead last in the Gateway Conference, and most of their teams have been bad for a long time.
If Waltman wants to improve his team, he might want to start by recruiting higher rated players. This kid might be a good player, but judging from the schools Waltman beat out, and how the kid rates on recruiting sites, it looks like he didn't have to offer a scholie this early. Kids like this will be available anytime.

Indiana State, just prior to going on their preseason foreign tour, get yet another committment for 2007.

Jordan Printy, 6-4, 170 lb shooting guard.

Here is an article about Indiana State's recent committment of Iowa prep Jordan Printy--

He sounds very similar to the 2007 commit they already had, John Ashworth.
Indiana State has begun practice early for a trip to play Canadian colleges, similar to the trip Bradley took 2 years ago.

But perhaps the most interesting note in that article from the Terre Haute Tribune-Star is the mention that senior Eric Gray's scholarship is now available and he is no longer part of the team. That is a significant loss for Indiana State. They lost leading scorer David Moss and second leading scorer Tyson Schnitker left the team. Gray would have been one of their best returning players.

            Other reports on the Sycamores--
            http://www.tribstar.com/sports/local...yword=topstory (see 6th paragraph)

Gray was in Royce Waltman's doghouse most of the last 2 seasons. As a soph, he left the team for a while and then was suspended after returning. He still was the 2nd leading returning scorer last year. But he was suspended for the first semester for undisclosed reasons, then played little after his return.

Indiana State needs a makeover from the ground up.
They should have nabbed Bob Huggins.

they will play in Canada with only four returning players, and Wurtz and Tunnell are injured and won't play, and two others have left the team (Eric Gray, Elliott Booe) and then there are six new and untested guys.
We should have some scores and stats by Sunday. Wichita State is also up in Canada playing this weekend.

Found this interview with Jordan Printy on why he chose Indiana State. Here is what he said:

Why did you decide to commit to Indiana State?
"I just thought that it was the right fit for me. Out of the schools that offered, Indiana State was in the Valley. I really liked the coaching staff and I really though I'd fit in well."

What other schools were you looking at?
"I was down to Indiana State and Wright State."

What is your favorite thing at Indiana State?
"Just the basketball seems really great."

Sounds like Royce did a great job!
Plus I'd like to think the great year the Valley had in 2005-2006 has actually helped all the Valley teams.
