Wow. This does not make me happy. I really liked Darian as well as our other freshmen. I mean, he's a freshman! What did he expect? Clearly, the coaching staff likes him to give him lots of PT for a freshman, and he could have made bigger contributions down the road.

Wow. I never got the impression that he was unhappy here. I was worried about his minutes next year with Warren coming back. Maybe he was too.

I really thought he could be another Will Franklin. I wish him the best even though it's sad to see him leave.

I really liked DN too, but it was obvious who the point guard of the future was. DN was probably too small to successfuly shoot 3's over the zone. Our newest recruit should be much more able to be the zone buster..... Thank God!

That's too bad, I really liked DN. I wish him well wherever he lands.

Wow! I'm shocked also! I really liked his game. Too bad it didn't work out but I wish him all the best wherever he lands.

Also on board with BradleyBrave. Hope this is the last this year.

I don't like this recent tourney "homecoming" stuff.
This year we were supposed to be in the Alaska shootout? And lost WE for the year.
Next year we are supposed to be in a Vegas Tourney and already lost DN...

DN is a great kid, from a great family.
Darian is basically a 5'11" shooting guard in Bradley's system. Since Sam M. has 2 more years, and Eddren has 3 more, coupled with Chris Roberts and Dodie Dunson having 1 more year, and Warren back for 2 more, and Darian could see he wasn't going to get much more playing time next year, and he wasn't going to play point guard. We Bradley fans never got to see all of Darian's skills. He will be OK, and Bradley will be OK.

                  Good Luck Darian!

I'm sad that DN left. I hope he wasn't run off because of some bigger, perhaps more talented guards that were showing strong interest (Eastman, Simms-Edwards). I don't think that he was though. With a healthy AW, it's a crowded backcourt next year, and anyone can see that. I wonder how long this has been known by the staff.

Again, this was all in place when he got here.

If DN had an ounce of competitive nature he would of believed he could "beat out" Maniscalco and McCain for minutes. Plus, AW was supposed to play this year. He was on schedule to graduate when DN was a junior. Now, obviously, AW wouldn't have graduated until DN was a senior.

All of those things combined may have changed DN's view on the opportunity for playing time at Bradley.

Either he thought he'd beat out EM (or SM?) and Warren was supposed to be a Junior this year and a Senior next..

Please, every kid wants to play more. Even if he felt he could compete with the others, maybe after meeting with the coaches, which every player does after the season ends, he was evaluated and told where he's at, and what he could expect next year.
This kind of thing happens at every single college in America. Who are we to judge, take sides, or criticize Darrian's decision. It's his life, and we should want him to do what he feels is best for him.
He was a team-oriented player at Bradley, coachable, and he was a great kid, and his attitude was never an issue for the coaches.

Sad to see DN go. I thought he had a lot of potential for his junior and senior seasons, but I'm not sure he would regularly crack the starting lineup, even in his senior year. Obviously, if he wants to play the point more, this wasn't going to be the best fit for him with EM here. I think DN will have a successful career at a lower-profile mid-major.

Before coming to Bradley, he backed out of his verbal to South Carolina State because it was "so far from home", so I'd say he'll probably end up somewhere closer to Vegas than Illinois. Probably somewhere in California, Riverside or Santa Barbara. Just guesses on my part.
